Fox St, Great Gransden, SG19 3AA.
Located on Fox Street, Great Gransden, the Bowls and Croquet Club is a family friendly sports and social club serving the communities of South Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire. We play on the green behind the Reading Room in a picturesque setting adjacent to the park. The Club provides social and fun activities, as well as competitive bowls and croquet. The Club also maintains a good quality playing green and a well-equipped club house.
The Club is run entirely by volunteers and we work in collaboration with other community groups. In 2024, the Club had approximately 70 members, including a growing number of families. In 2025, we aim to increase our membership, extend playing times available to both bowls and croquet members, run coaching events, friendly matches and special events. There is an on-line booking system to allow members to book green time when not in use. Please contact us for more information on our Open Days and ‘try outs’.
Founded in the 1960’s as a single bowling green, the Club has now expanded to include croquet to secure its future viability. Our aim is to provide a fun, safe, and social sporting environment. We will encourage players to to reach their full potential, promote and foster individual and team excellence, and develop lifelong bonds through our strong community spirit.
